Hondew Berry

Hondew Berry increases a Pokémon's Friendship, but also lowers its EVs in Special Attack. Friendship is raised by 10 points if the Pokémon's current Friendship level is less than 100; by 5 points if it's 100-199; or by 2 points if it's 200 or more. Special Attack EVs are reduced by 10.

Game descriptions

  • Ruby, Sapphire:POKéBLOCK ingredient. Plant in loamy soil to grow HONDEW.
  • FireRed, LeafGreen:Can be ground up into a powder as an ingredient for medicine.
  • Emerald:Makes a POKéMON friendly but lowers base SP. ATK.
  • Diamond, Pearl, Platinum:A Poffin ingredient. Using it on a Pokémon makes it more friendly, but it also lowers its base Sp. Atk stat.
  • HeartGold, SoulSilver:Using it on a Pokémon makes it more friendly, but it also lowers its base Sp. Atk stat.
  • Black, White, Black 2, White 2:Using it on a Pokémon makes it more friendly, but it also lowers its base Sp. Atk stat.
  • X, Y, O.Ruby, A.Sapphire:A Berry to be consumed by Pokémon. Using it on a Pokémon makes it more friendly but lowers its base Sp. Atk.
  • Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun, Ultra Moon:A Berry to be consumed by Pokémon. Using it on a Pokémon makes it more friendly but lowers its base Sp. Atk.
  • Sword, Shield, B.Diamond, S.Pearl:A Berry to be consumed by Pokémon. Using it on a Pokémon makes it more friendly but lowers its Sp. Atk base points.
  • Scarlet, Violet:If a Pokémon is fed this Berry, it will grow more friendly, but it will lose base points for its Sp. Atk stat.
